Parallel construction of hierarchical representations: recent advances

Abstract

The TIRF team and the A3SI team from the LIGM laboratory jointly organise a half-day seminar around the parallel construction of hierarchical structures.

Schedule:

  • 09:00 - 09:30 : Binary Partition Trees (Jimmy Randrianasoa, LRE)
  • 09:30 - 10:20 : A journey through binary partition hierarchies, watersheds, and minimum spanning trees for image segmentation (Jean Cousty, LIGM)
  • 10:20 - 10:40 : Coffee break ☕
  • 10:40 - 11:10 : Out-of-core distributed Algorithms for Binary Partition Hierarchies (Josselin Lefèvre, LIGM)
  • 11:10 - 11:50 : Some hierarchical representations on the GPU (Edwin Carlinet, LRE)
  • 11:50 - 12:10 : A short and informal presentation of the article "PANDORA: A Parallel Dendrogram Construction Algorithm for Single Linkage Clustering on GPU" (Quentin Lebon, LIGM)
  • 12:10 - 12h:5 : General discussion and future outcome

Additional Information

The seminar is open to everyone, either in person in room Amphi 0 (Paris campus) or online via Teams.
